Who is Owncast for?

Owncast is built for anybody who has a need to provide a live video stream to viewers. There are many use cases, and the project tries to be agnostic about catering to them. For example, some users are Fortune 500 companies running conferences streaming to attendees, some are churches streaming to parishioners, some are TV broadcast networks who are bringing their content online, and some are interactive social streamers who want to share video games or performances with viewers. As long as somebody has a requirement to stream video, they are a potential user of Owncast. Visit the Owncast Project Definition to learn more.
